The Medina Valley Independent School District Board of Trustees has officially named Mrs. Emily Lorenz as Superintendent of Schools.
Mrs. Lorenz was named Lone Finalist on April 1, 2026. Following the required 21-day waiting period, the Board formally approved her contract at the April 27 Board Meeting. She will officially begin her role as Superintendent of Medina Valley ISD on June 1, 2026.
Mrs. Lorenz joins Medina Valley ISD from Calallen ISD, where she has served as Superintendent since 2022. She brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership, with a strong background in curriculum and instruction, personnel, and district operations. Prior to becoming Superintendent, she served as Assistant Superintendent and Director of Curriculum at Calallen ISD and as an Educational Specialist at Region 20, where she supported instructional practices and district-wide initiatives.
Known for her ability to build strong, collaborative teams and drive organizational excellence, Mrs. Lorenz has a proven track record of leading impactful work that strengthens both academic outcomes and district operations. As she steps into this role, she is committed to partnering with staff, families, and the community to build on the district’s strong foundation and continue advancing Medina Valley ISD.
