Military Families
Welcome!
At Castroville Elementary, we proudly serve our community by providing excellent educational opportunities that empower all students to reach their full learning potential. We recognize that school-age dependents of military personnel experience frequent transitions that can present unique challenges. Because of this, we are committed to honoring the sacrifices of military families and ensuring our military-connected students feel supported, valued, and set up for success.
This webpage is designed to provide helpful resources and information to assist military families during their time with us. We appreciate your service and look forward to serving you!
Meet your Campus Military Liaison

In addition to being your Campus Military Liaison, I’m also the school social worker and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I landed right here in MVISD in time to finish high school, went on to earn my undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester in New York, and then completed my master’s in social work at University of Texas - Arlington. I truly love what I do and am committed to helping every student thrive—especially our military-connected Cubs!
In my position as Campus Military Liaison, some of the major duties and responsibilities I manage are:
- Serving as the main point of contact for military-connected students and their families
- Ensuring students are identified and coded in the Texas Student Data System as military-connected
- Determining which campus-based services and supports are available
- Helping to coordinate campus programs
- Offering professional development to staff to learn about the unique challenges that face students and their family during military transitions
- Developing a campus student-led transition program (CES Operation Cub Welcome) that introduces our new cubs to the school
Whether you have questions, need support, or just want to connect, I’m here for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
